Here’s a quiet one that is for sale: v=nq6iCO9KLKA

I watched your video, which you used a thermoacustc stirling in your parabolic mirror. Which is more efficient, thermoacustc or beta (in power terms) ?

I’d make a fan at home for myself.
Or a generator.

awesome

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 10:46 am

I built it myself to my own design.

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 11:45 am

The engine won’t autostart.

eagleeleven January 13, 2011 at 12:29 pm

Will it autostart

It’s more along the line of, the more heat you put to it the more power it will have, so the sky’s the limit, but I wouldn’t put a reflector mirror any smaller than his. Of course the engine can only take so much.

I am very interesting in the proyect, I want to building something similar, I have a 1.8 diameter antena and i want to put there.
Where did u buy the stirling engine? or did u build it?

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 1:47 pm

Sorry, don’t know.

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 2:32 pm

designedand built by me.

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 2:39 pm

It’s certainly possible to charge a small battery.

1967geezer January 13, 2011 at 3:34 pm

Don’t know, to be honest. I’d love to know how to work it out if anybody can tell me.

phdecora January 13, 2011 at 3:34 pm

whats the power output?

thanks for posting this.

hiya pal i just signed up with youtube just so i could ask you about this prototype you have since the company sterling is not giving me any help perhaps you can. “where can i find about four of those engines? does your reflector have to be that size for each engine? does the reflector have to be that size period? and how exlcusive is it to sunlight?”

Great work, man. For my high school thesis, I’m trying to make one of these solar-powered stirling engines. But we also want to find a way of converting the mechanical energy into electricity and then store it in a battery. Do you think it’s possible?

This is so incredible, I love the sound of it, is there any chance you know of available blueprints or resources to learn how to make a similar beta type engine from? Or would you be willing to sell a set of blueprints?

Excellent workmanship! Thanks for showing us!

BanjoNaps January 13, 2011 at 6:26 pm

beta models are so cool!

wayconservative January 13, 2011 at 7:16 pm

where did u get the stirling engine?

atlanticus January 13, 2011 at 7:29 pm

efficiency and yield?

441rider January 13, 2011 at 8:29 pm

I have seen very similar in Holland, very nice beta.

jkid1190 January 13, 2011 at 8:45 pm

those things are just amazing, i want to know how to make one myself so i can try to see what they can do

tdan20 January 13, 2011 at 9:33 pm

pretty engine.

xwrrn23 January 13, 2011 at 10:29 pm

add me to the list with jseunjen and ranyerrebrc as those in which that would like to recieve more info on where to get one or drawings on how to build one. thanks
